HONOLULU—The University of Hawai'i women's tennis team competed on the second day of the Hawai'i Anuenue Invitational held at the UH Tennis Complex on Saturday.
 
For the second straight day, the Rainbow Wahine had a strong showing against the Hawai'i Pacific Sharks. In doubles the 'Bows won three-of-five matches while in singles UH captured five out of six matches played on Saturday.
 
In doubles, Hawai'i's Cindy Nguyen and Michelle Pits combined for a 6-1 win over HPU's Nicole Hoynaski and Monica Greene. UH's Marina Hruba and Klara Pribylova defeated Lara Meccico and Oceane Adam, 6-2 while Petra Melounova and Nikola Dolakova defeated Hoynaski and Greene, 6-3.
 
In singles, UH's Pits battled back after losing in the first set to defeat Adam in three sets, 2-6, 6-2, 6-1. Roxanne Resma nearly blanked her HPU opponent, 6-0, 6-1. UH's Saga Shermis and Nguyen both won their matches 6-2, 6-2 over Greene and Lara Meccico respectively. Hawai'i's Pribylova also won in straight sets over Leticia Gonzalez dos Santos, 6-2, 6-1.
