Photo GalleryHONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i women's track and field team hosted its first meet in the 2016 Sunrise Series on Saturday with the Season Opener at the Clarence T.C. Ching Athletics Complex.
Making her second pole vault appearance of the season, Veracruz, Mexico senior
Tiziana Ruiz Dominguez reached a season-best height of 12-9.5 (3.90m) to lead the Rainbow Wahine in the event standings.

Camille Campos made another splash in her UH track debut after a solid rookie cross country season, topping the field in the mile run with a time of 5:22.37.
Pacing the Rainbow Wahine jumpers, Troutdale, Ore. junior
Courtney Andre' reached 18-3 (5.56m) in the long jump to win the event.
Taking the top spot among the throwers, St-Cesaire, Quebec, Canada native and UH senior
Alex Porlier Langlois recorded a mark of 48-8 (14.83m) in the weight throw her second event appearance of the season.
"All in all is was a good day for where we are in the season and good preparation for our travel squad at next weekend's UW Invitational in Seattle," Head Coach
Carmyn James noted.
Select members of the Rainbow Wahine squad will return to action next weekend on the mainland, again heading to Dempsey Indoor in Seattle, this time for a two day stretch, Jan. 29-30, at the UW Indoor Invitational.
