Ashleigh Karaitiana with just 23 seconds gone by. But then momentum swings went back and forth through the rest of the game. Long Beach State went on a mini 5-0 run all on free throws to cut their deficit to single digits, 41-32. But Hawai'i would get layups by Kuehu and
Morgan Mason, plus a free throw by
Megan Huff to push UH's lead back to 14, 46-32 with 15:16 left in the game. Kuehu would nail a jumper with the foul and converted an old-fashioned three-point play with 3:00 left with UH leading 61-55. The two teams traded points down the stretch.
