Final Results
STANFORD, Calif. - The University of Hawai'i women's cross country team completed the Stanford Invitational with a 21st place finish, Saturday at the Stanford Golf Course.
The Rainbow Wahine were led by freshman Montana Martinez, who was the team's top finisher for the fourth consecutive meet. Harbor City, Calif., native completed the 6K race in 24:31 to place 233rd overall just ahead of teammate Louise Mulvey, who checked in at 24:39 for 237th place.
Right behind them was freshman Alexa Foster (24:44/247th) before UH's last three runners crossed the finished line led by senior Hayley Musashi (25:36.289th), sophomore Caitlyn Foss (25:50/295th), and freshman Melissa Chadwick (26:28/312nd).
Host Stanford captured the teams standings with 71 total points and four runners in the Top 20. Washington State's Abby Regan took individual honors, completing the race in 20:31 just ahead of UC Riverside's Raquel Hefflin (20:39).
The Rainbow Wahine will next compete in the Chaminade Invitational, Oct. 11 in La'ie, O'ahu.
