Robinson Earns Third Mountain West Freshman of the Week Honor

LAS VEGAS – Hawaiʻi cross country runner Atarah Robinson was named the Mountain West Freshman of the Week for the third time this season, the conference office announced Tuesday.

Robinson has swept the weekly freshman honor following all three meets of her collegiate campaign, continuing a historic start to her time in Mānoa. The Florida native is the first Mountain West student-athlete since UNLV's Natalia Ruiz in 2021 to earn conference Freshman of the Week recognition three times in a single season.

The award comes on the heels of another standout performance at the 51st Charles Bowles Invitational on Saturday. Robinson led the Rainbow Wahine across the finish line in sixth place overall, navigating the 5,000-meter course at Bush Park in 17:34.60. Her mark stands as the eighth-fastest 5k time in program history and propelled Hawaiʻi to a first-place team finish with 65 points, securing UH's second team title of the season and its first victory at the Charles Bowles Invitational since 2001.

Through her first three collegiate competitions, Robinson has been Hawaiʻi's top finisher twice while consistently delivering historical times. She opened her career taking third overall at the Big Wave Invitational before running the fifth-fastest 6,000-meter time in school history (20:37.40) to lead UH at the UCR Invitational.

Robinson and the Rainbow Wahine will look to maintain their rhythm as they stay in the Pacific Northwest to compete in the Bill Dellinger Invitational on Friday in Eugene, Ore.
