SALEM, Ore. – The Hawaiʻi women's cross country team captured its second team title of the 2026 season on Saturday morning, placing first overall at the 51st Charles Bowles Invitational at Bush Park.
The victory marks the Rainbow Wahine's first team championship at the historic meet hosted by since 2001, highlighting a standout performance during their second road trip of the fall campaign.
Freshman
Atarah Robinson and junior
Mikaella Martin spearheaded the effort for Hawaiʻi near the front of the field. Robinson ran the eighth-fastest 5k time in program history with a time of 17:34.6 to finish sixth overall while Martin followed closely behind in ninth with a mark of 17:47.3.
Emily Castles was the third UH runner to cross, running a 17:55.2 to come in 13th, while Salem native
Lucy Becker posted a top-15 finish in her homecoming with a personal-best time of 17:59.4 to place right behind Castles in 14th.
Zola O'Donnell rounded out the UH scorers with a time of 18:09.6 to finish 23rd.
Kira Moe also delivered a 5k PR with a time of 18:17.2 to finish 27th overall while
Cecily (Dvdaya) Swimmer came in 63rd in 18:51.7, a season-best on her freshman year.
The Rainbow Wahine now own team victories at both the Big Wave Invitational and Charles Bowles Invitational, alongside a fifth-place finish at the high-caliber UCR Invitational through three meets in 2026.
UH will remain in Oregon ahead of its next meet at the Bill Dellinger Invitational Friday, hosted by the University of Oregon.
