Final ResultsLA'IE, O'ahu – The University of Hawai'i women's cross country team placed third at the Brigham Young-Hawai'i Invitational Saturday.
HPU captured the team title with 25 points followed by host BYUH (35), UH (83), UH-Hilo (96), and Chaminade (157). HPU's Fiona McKenna took individual honors, winning the race in 18:09 followed by teammates Jamie Neal (18:52) and Marissa Kunsch (19:10).
UH's top finisher was
Montana Martinez, who completed the 5K race in 20:12 to place 12
th overall. The freshman from Harbor City, Calif. has been Hawai'i's top finisher in all three races this season.
Right behind her was freshman
Alexa Foster, who placed 14
th with time of 20:41 while sophomore
Caitlyn Foss made her 2014 debut with an 18
th place finish in 21:10. Senior
Hayley Musashi crossed the finish line in 21:29 for 21
st place. Freshman
Melissa Chadwick placed 24
th at 21:50.

The Rainbow Wahine will next compete in the Stanford Invitational, Sept. 27 in Stanford, Calif.
