Softball Concludes Season at UC Davis

DAVIS, Calif.—The University of Hawai'i softball team (21-26, 6-12 Big West) concludes their season on the road at UC Davis (18-31, 7-11 Big West). The Rainbow Wahine  went 1-2 last week against Cal State Northridge in their last conference home series. Hawai'i finished the weekend with a 7-3 win over the Matadors for the Senior Day game.
 
Hawai'I was led by Heather Morales on offense as she hit .444 in three games. She went 4-for-9 at the plate and drove in one run in the series finale. Morales also picked up the win against CSUN with a complete game effort. Fellow freshman Lindsey Willmon also fared well, hitting .429  (3-for-7) with a home run while rookie shortstop Sarina Jaramillo led the 'Bows with four RBI coming on a pair of two-run home runs.  
 
Overall, junior first baseman Leisha Li'ili'i continues to lead Hawai'i with a .392 overall batting average. She leads the 'Bows with 51 hits, 14 home runs, 38 RBI, and 31 walks. She ranks No. 2 in the Big West in slugging percentage (.777); on –base percentage (.512); home runs; and walks. Li'ili'i has reached base safely in 23-straight games—including all 18 conference games. She also leads UH with eight multiple-RBI games and is tied with Keiki Carlos with 13 multiple-hit games. Carlos, UH's sophomore rightfielder, is second on the team with a .307 batting average and leads the squad with 36 runs scored and 11 doubles. Senior second baseman Jazmine Zamora is third on the team with a .295 batting average. She is 43-for-146 this season with 24 runs scored four doubles and three home runs.
 
Morales is 11-10 in the pitching circle with 12 complete games and three shut outs in 132.0 innings pitched this season with a 5.46 ERA. Sophomore Loie Kesterson is 10-13 with a 4.15 ERA with 19 complete games and 153.2 innings pitched.
 
UC Davis also went 1-2 last week at Cal State Fullerton. The Aggies are led by Christa Castello who is hitting .309 (51-for-165) and has scored 19 runs with eight doubles, three triples and 19 RBI. Kelly Zboralske is hitting .291 (43-for-158) with a team-high 26 RBI. She is tied for the team-lead with seven home runs with Lauryn Saunders.  Amy Nunez is hitting .285 with a team-high 11 doubles while Brianna Warner leads UCD with 10 stolen bases.
 
There are five Aggies in the pitching staff. Dana Cruse has seen the most work in the circle, throwing 115.2 innings. She is 9-10 overall with a 3.81 ERA in 34 appearances. Andrea Reynolds has a team-low 3.06 ERA and is 4-6 on the season in 80.0 innings while Leah Munden is 2-10 with a 6.06 ERA in 64.2 innings pitched.
