Game Notes

LOS ANGELES – The University of Hawai'i Rainbow Warrior baseball team continues its road trip with a non-conference game against the University of Southern California and a Big West Conference series at Cal State Fullerton. UH will play the Trojans on Tuesday, Apr. 22 (6:00 p.m. PT, 3:00 p.m. HT) and the Titans on Friday, Apr. 25 (7:00 p.m. PT, 4:00 p.m. HT), Saturday, Apr. 26 (5:00 p.m. PT, 2:00 p.m. HT) and Sunday, Apr. 27 (7:30 p.m. PT, 4:30 p.m. HT).

The opener of the CSF series will be streamed on ESPN3 with games two and three broadcast live on ESPNU.

The 'Bows (15-21, 3-9 Big West) snapped an eight-game losing streak this past weekend with a 9-1 win in their series finale at Cal State Northridge. Scott Squier (3-3) had his second straight solid outing after a hot-and-cold first half of the season. He tossed seven complete innings allowing one run on seven hits with six strikeouts.

Matt Cooper continues to be UH's Friday night starter. The durable righty ranks third in the Big West in both innings pitched (69.1) and strikeouts (60), and seventh with a 1.95 ERA. Squier is tied for fourth in the league right behind Cooper with 56 strikeouts.

Hawai'i will be making its first trip to USC since the 1991 NCAA Los Angeles Regional where the 'Bows beat the host Trojans but lost to Creighton in the title game. The last time UH played at Cal State Fullerton was in 2010 where the 'Bows dropped the first two games of the three-game set before winning the finale.
