Match Notes
The University of Hawai'i men's volleyball team begins the final month of the regular season which includes six road matches including the upcoming four-match trip to No. 6 Stanford and Pacific. The Rainbow Warriors will play four matches in five days beginning with a two-match series against the Cardinal, March 14 & 15 at Maples Pavilion in Stanford, Calif., followed a series against the Tigers, March 17 & 18 at the Alex G. Spanos Center in Stockton, Calif.
UH (11-8, 9-7 MPSF) is coming off a pair of losses to UC Irvine last week in Honolulu. The defending NCAA champions won in four on Friday and pulled out a thrilling five-set win on Sunday. Following the two losses, the Warriors dropped two spots to No. 10 in this week's AVCA Coaches Poll.
The sixth-ranked Cardinal (12-9, 9-7) moved up four spots after going 2-0 last week with wins over Pepperdine and USC and are tied for eighth in the league standings with Hawai'i at 9-7. The unranked Tigers (2-17, 1-15) are idle this weekend and enter the series having lost their last eight matches.

Series vs. Stanford: UH holds a slight 37-34 lead over Stanford in the all-time series. The teams split the series the past three seasons, including a pair at the Stan Sheriff Center, last year. Both matches went to five sets with the third-ranked Cardinal winning the opener the Warriors taking the rematch.
Series vs. Pacific: UH leads the overall series 42-1 and have won the last 33 matches in the series, including 16 straight in Stockton, Calif. Hawai'i leads the series 21-1 in matches played in Stockton, Calif. The Warriors won both matches in Honolulu last season, each in four sets.
What's Next: Following the UOP series, the Rainbow Warriors return to Honolulu to close out the home schedule with a two-match series against Brigham Young, April 4 & 5 at the Stan Sheriff Center. UH will honor seniors
