Men’s Volleyball Hits The Road For Four Matches In Five Days

Match Notes

The University of Hawai'i men's volleyball team begins the final month of the regular season which includes six road matches including the upcoming four-match trip to No. 6 Stanford and Pacific. The Rainbow Warriors will play four matches in five days beginning with a two-match series against the Cardinal, March 14 & 15 at Maples Pavilion in Stanford, Calif., followed a series against the Tigers, March 17 & 18 at the Alex G. Spanos Center in Stockton, Calif.

UH (11-8, 9-7 MPSF) is coming off a pair of losses to UC Irvine last week in Honolulu. The defending NCAA champions won in four on Friday and pulled out a thrilling five-set win on Sunday. Following the two losses, the Warriors dropped two spots to No. 10 in this week's AVCA Coaches Poll.

The sixth-ranked Cardinal (12-9, 9-7) moved up four spots after going 2-0 last week with wins over Pepperdine and USC and are tied for eighth in the league standings with Hawai'i at 9-7. The unranked Tigers (2-17, 1-15) are idle this weekend and enter the series having lost their last eight matches.
