Track & Field Completes Husky Classic

Final Results

SEATTLE, Wash. – The University of Hawai'i women's track and field team posted a number of personal best during the two-day Husky Classic at the University of Washington's Dempsey Indoor.
 
All three of UH's 200-meter runners – Rachel Toliver, Raion Black and Samantha Esperanza – won their sections and each posted personal best times of 25.59 seconds, 26.28, and 26.84, respectively. 
 
Pole vaulter Cecilia Durocher was runner-up in her competition with a seasonal-best mark of 12-6 (3.81m) while freshman Amber Kozaki tied for third with a jump of 12-0 (3.66m).
 
In the weight throw, Charlinda Iaone posted a PR by more than a foot at 48-3.25 (14.71m) while Joanna Franke-Kuhn threw more than four and a half feet better than she did at the UW Invitational last month with a throw of 54-3.25 (16.54m). 
 
The team will next compete in the UW Open, Sunday, at Dempsey.
