Meet Results
HONOLULU – Results from Saturday's Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational hosted by the University of Hawai'i at the Clarence T.C. Ching Field.
Among the highlights was sophomore
Robyn Morioka, who equaled the meet record in the pole vault with a mark of 12-5.5 (3.80m), which was held by three other athletes. The jump was also better than her previous best indoor jump.
Junior
Amanda Alvarez broke the meet record in the long jump previously held by Annett Wichmann with a jump of 18-6.5 (5.65m). Freshman
Morgan Struble also broke a meet record in the 200-meters set by
Andrea Hinkle last season with a time of 26.47.
Junior
Melody Papalii won the 400-meters with a season best of 59.32. Sophomore Alex Porlier-Langlios improved her season best and won the shot put with a mark of 44-4 (13.51m).
The Rainbow Wahine return to Seattle, Wash., where they will compete in the Husky Classic (Feb. 8-9) and the UW Open (Feb. 10).
