Match Notes
The 13th-ranked University of Hawai'i men's volleyball team returns to action following its first bye week of the season with a week long road trip to southern California. The Warriors (4-7, 3-5 MPSF) will play a pair of two-match Mountain Pacific Sports Federation series at No. 6 UCLA, Feb. 15 & 16 and No. 1 UC Irvine, Feb. 18 & 19.
Winners of three of its last four matches, UH embarks on its third road trip of the season and are in search of its first road victory. The Warriors will look to snap an eight-match road losing streak dating back to last season.
Hawai'i and UCLA have already met once this season, with the Warriors pulling out a dramatic five-set thriller on the final day of the Outrigger Hotels and Resorts Invitational. In that match, UH erased three match points in the fifth set and scored the final five points for the victory.
In 2011, the Warriors also embarked on the same road trip and went 1-3 against the Bruins and Anteaters. UH and UCLA split its series while UC Irvine won both matches in four sets over the Warriors.
