HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i Rainbow Wahine swimming and diving teams get set to compete in their regular season finale when they host Kansas on Friday, Jan. 18 at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex.
The meet will also be the final home competition for senior swimmers Annathea Accornero, Rachel Cote, Haydn Maclean, Taylor Ritenberg, Kelli Schneider, and Madeline Takaki.
The Rainbow Wahine, along with the men's team, are coming off a defeat at the hands of No. 13 Minnesota with several swimmers having strong performances. Luca Mazzurana won the men's 200 yard butterfly, and the men's and women's 200 yard medley relay teams swam to second place finishes.
The Jayhawks will have spent nearly a week in Hawai'i prior to the competition in what has become their annual training trip.
The diving events begin at 2:00 p.m. and include the platform with the one-meter competitions. Swimming events will start at 4:00 p.m.
