Track & Field Concludes Busy Week With Beach Invite

NORWALK, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i women's track and field team concluded its busy week by competing in the Beach Invitational Saturday at Cerritos College.
 
The Rainbow Wahine, who competed in four different meets throughout the week, saved their best for last.
 
Junior Cecilia Durocher had a big personal best in the pole vault by clearing 12-10.25 (3.92m), which put her into sole possession of No. 3 on the school's all-time outdoor list. Her previous best was 12-7.5 (3.85m), set last month.
 
Sophomore Amanda Alvarez also PR'd in the triple jump with a leap of 40-7 (12.37m), which placed second in the event and moved her three spots to No. 2 all-time in school history.

Senior Emma MacCorquodale nearly matched her personal best and finished seventh in the hammer throw with a mark of 184-3 (56.17m).
 
TeRina Keenan continued her strong senior season by placing third in both the shot put (48-7.5/14.82m) and discus (174-4/53.14m) events.
 
The Rainbow Wahine next hosts the Sunset Meet #5, Saturday, April 28 at the Clarence T.C. Ching Field.
