STANFORD, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i coed sailing team finished in third place at the PCCSC Team Race Championships hosted by Stanford on Saturday, April 14. The host Cardinal captured the regatta and with it earned the automatic berth to the ICSA Nationals.
 
A total of  49 races were sailed with a double round-robin of seven teams and a final four with one sail off. The Cardinal swept through the competition, going a perfect 15-0. The Rainbows went 7-5 in round robin action and advanced to the final four where they ultimately finished with a 8-7 mark and defeated USC in an sail off for third place.
 
Sailing for the Rainbows were Adam Pokras, Cienna Patmont, Michael Hanson, Bree Nidds, Craig Schifferns and Lindsay Stewart,. Next up for UH is the PCCSC Dinghy Championships April, 28-29 in Santa Barbara, Calif.
