The 14th-ranked University of Hawai'i men's volleyball team will look to snap its three-match Mountain Pacific Sports Federation losing streak with a pair of league contests at No. 12 Pacific, Friday, Feb. 3 and Saturday, Feb. 4. Both matches begin at 7:00 p.m. PT (5:00 p.m. HT) at the Alex G. Spanos Center in Stockton, Calif.
The Warriors (4-5, 1-3 MPSF) won two non-conference matches over Grand Canyon last week in Honolulu to snap a four-match losing streak. Over the weekend, outside hitter
Steven Hunt led the Warriors with a 4.89 kills per set average while middle blocker
Nick West posted averages of 2.89 kills and 1.22 blocks per set and a .550 hitting percentage. Libero
Nick Castello averaged 4.11 digs per set, including a career-best 22 in the five-set victory.
Pacific (3-5, 1-2) lost a pair of four-set matches against No. 10 Ohio State and No. 8 Penn State at OSU's Ken and Dave Dunlap Invitational last week. Outside hitter Florian Gornik led the team both nights with 16 kills against Ohio State and 13 in the loss to Penn State. On the year, the senior is averaging a team-best 3.48 kills per set. Middle blocker Sean Daley is one of the nation's top blockers averaging 1.44 blocks per set.
The Tigers, which returns six starters from a year ago, are 1-2 in MPSF play with their only win at UC Santa Barbara two weeks ago in Santa Barbara, Calif.
UH holds a dominating 38-1 advantage in the all-time series with its only loss on April 5, 1997 in Stockton, Calif. During that span, the Warriors have won 29 straight in the series.

Series Information: UH leads 38-1. The Warriors have won the last 29 matches in the series, including 14 straight in Stockton, Calif. Hawai'i leads the series 19-1 in matches played in Stockton, Calif. Last season, UH won both matches at the Stan Sheriff Center, winning in four (27-29, 25-23, 26-24, 25-17) on the opening night and in straight sets (25-16, 25-23, 25-23) in the rematch.
What's Next: The Warriors return to Honolulu to begin a three-week homestand beginning with a two-match MPSF series with UC Irvine, Friday, Feb. 10 and Sunday, Feb. 12. The Anteaters swept the season series last year in Irvine, Calif.
