Game Notes
HONOLULU—The University of Hawai'i women's basketball (7-11, 2-1 WAC) team hits the road for their third trip to the mainland this season to play Nevada (4-13, 0-2 WAC) in Reno on Thursday, Jan. 26 and Fresno State on Saturday, Jan. 28. The Rainbow Wahine are coming off a pair of home victories over Louisiana Tech on Jan. 19 (64-46) and New Mexico State on Jan. 21 (51-48). The win over the Lady Techsters was just the fourth win for UH in 28 meetings. Hawai'i is 2-1 in conference for the first time since the 2002-03 season.
Hawai'i's sophomore forward,
Kamilah Jackson continues to lead the Rainbow Wahine with her steady play in both points (14.3) and rebounds (10.6). She posted 16 points against both the Lady Techsters and the Aggies this past week while grabbing 26 total rebounds. Jackson registered her ninth and 10th double-double of the season, which ranks her No. 10 in the nation. She is the reigning Verizon Western Athletic Conference Player of the Week.
Fellow sophomore, transfer post player
Vicky Tagalicod, is averaging 10.3 points per game and has been a welcome mid-season addition to the team after transferring from USC in December 2010. Tagalicod, a Pahoa, Hawai'i native, is also contributing with 4.7 rebounds with 13 assists and 12 steals in the nine games she has started. Also contributing greatly has been another mid-season addition, freshman center
Kalei Adolpho, who is second on the team with 7.4 rebounds per game as a reserve player. Adolpho--the first female athlete from Moloka'i to sign a DI Letter of Intent--played on the the Rainbow Wahine volleyball team as a middle hitter in the fall and joined the basketball team following the completion of their season.
Senior
Breanna Arbuckle is having a solid senior season, averaging 9.4 points and 6.3 rebounds per game and is one of three players to start all 18 games (along with Jackson and freshman point guard
Alissa Campanero). Arbuckle leads UH with 28 blocks this season with 129 in her career. She is now just four shy of moving into a tie for fourth place in UH's all-time blocked shot record book.
Scouting the Nevada Wolf Pack
Nevada is 4-13 overall and 0-2 in WAC action, falling at Fresno State (67-85) and at Utah State (69-91). The Wolf Pack is led by senior guard Kate Kevorken who is averaging 16.8 points per game with a team-high 38 3-pointers made this season.. She is also second on the team with 6.2 rebounds per game. Senior forward Kayla Williams is second on the team with 11.9 points per game with a team-high 8.1 rebounds per game and 34 blocked shots. Sophomore guard Danika Sharp is third on UNR's squad with 9.1 points per game and 16 3-pointers made. Head's up for the point guards Amanda Johnson and Arielle Wideman who have dished out 68 and 69 assists respectively.
Head coach Jane Albright is in her third season with the Wolf Pack with a 59-49 record.

Series Information: Hawai'i holds a 22-15 edge over Nevada, however, the Wolf Pack have won the last eight meetings. UH's last win over Nevada came in Honolulu on Feb. 3, 2007.
