LONG BEACH, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i women's soccer team suffered its second straight road loss after falling to Long Beach State, 3-0, Sunday afternoon at George Allen Field.

Two days after pushing No. 14 UC Irvine to the limit in a tight 2-1 loss, the Rainbow Wahine found the going tough against the 49ers. LBSU (4-2) scored two goals in the first 16 minutes of the match and never looked back in handing UH (0-5) its fifth straight loss to start the year.

LBSU's Nadia Link was in on all three goals, scoring the team's second goal in the 16^th minute and the third and final goal of the day, less than three minutes into the second half. Link also provided an assist for Shawna Gordon's opening goal in the 9^th minute.

The 49ers out-shot the Rainbow Wahine, 15-7, while UH was able to muster just one shot on goal. Junior goalkeeper Kanani Taaca posted six saves in the loss.

UH will now conclude its three-match California road swing when it travels to Moraga to face Saint Mary's on Tuesday, Sept. 6. Kickoff is set for 4:00 p.m. PT (1:00 p.m. HT).
