DID YOU KNOW?
Nine of
Nalani Damacion's 12 career goals have been game-winners. Damacion is currently tied for second in UH history in career game-winners, trailing only Natasha Kai's astounding program record of 23.
ON A ROLL
The Rainbow Wahine head into their Northern California road trip on a roll, having won their last three matches. UH owns a 7-1 scoring advantage during the streak, scoring multiple goals in all three matches. The 'Bows began the streak by winning 2-0 at preseason conference favorite Air Force on Sept. 27 before returning home and knocking off Nevada, 3-0, and UTEP, 2-1. The streak is the longest active winning streak in the Mountain West and UH's second three-match winning streak of the season. Six different players have scored during the streak while 10 different players have either scored or assisted on a goal, with six of the seven goals carrying an assist with it. The UH back line has held its last two opponents to under 10 shot attempts, giving up just four vs. Nevada and seven vs. UTEP.
SECOND HALF SURGES
The Rainbow Wahine have been a second-half team throughout the season. Hawai'i is out-scoring teams 15-3 in the final 45 minutes of matches while owning a 87-59 edge in shot attempts. Additionally, the 'Bows have scored a second-half goal in seven of the 11 matches while eight of the 15 second-half scores have come in the final 15 minutes. UH has shut out its opponent in the second half in nine of the 11 matches, allowing only two second-half goals to Kansas State on Aug. 15 and a goal in Sunday's win over UTEP. By contrast, the Rainbow Wahine have been out-scored 7-6 in the first half of matches.
INSTANT IMPACT
Forward
Anuhea Aluli has been the Rainbow Wahine's go-to scoring option over the first half of the season. Aluli is tied for the Mountain West lead with seven goals and tied for third with 15 points and 1.36 points per match, highlighted by a hat trick on Aug. 29 vs. Hawai'i Pacific. She leads the conference and is 14th nationally with four game-winning goals.
» Became the first Rainbow Wahine player to record a hat trick since 2018 (Raisa Strom-Okimoto), while her performance was the 14th hat trick in program history.
» Scored six goals in her first six matches, becoming the fastest Hawai'i player to six goals in a season since Natasha Kai in 2004 (7 goals in 6 matches).
» Recorded a point in five consecutive matches from Aug. 15-Sept. 3, becoming the first UH player to do so since 2012 (Tiana Fujimoto).
