MALIBU, Calif. – The No. 74 University of Hawai'i men's tennis team fell to No. 13 Pepperdine on Tuesday afternoon at the Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center. UH dropped to 2-7 this season with the loss.
The Waves (9-2) dominated in singles action as well, claiming victory on five of the six courts. No. 17 Sebastian Fanselow defeated Rosenberg 6-4, 6-1 to clinch the win for Pepperdine.Tweedt notched the Rainbow Warriors loan point by defeating No. 48 Alex Llompart at the No. 3 court, 7-6, retired, improving his dual match record to 4-3. Lajola took No. 58 Finn Tearney to three matches at the No. 1 court, but fell short 6-2, 1-6, 3-6.
UH concludes its southern California road trip by facing No. 6 UCLA on Friday, March 11. First serve will be at 1:30 pm PT (11:30 pm HT) at the Los Angeles Tennis Center.
