REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i coed sailing team claimed fourth place at the Jeremy McIntyre Team Race held March 5-6. Host Stanford claimed the regatta with a 14-1 record.

 

A total of 10 teams competed in the two-day event. UH got off to a great start on the first day, going 8-2 in round-robin action. The Rainbows advanced to the championship round of six team on Sunday, but faltered with a 1-4 record to finish 9-4 overall for the weekend. Sailing for the Rainbows were skippers Zachary Hester, Craig Schifferns,Adam Pokras and crew members Tahnee Allman, Laura Hughes  and Cienna Patmont.

 

Next up for the coed team is the Harbor Cup March 11-14, in Los Angeles.
