Game Notes
HONOLULU—The University of Hawai'i women's basketball team (8-15, 2-8 WAC) takes its two game win streak to the mainland this week as they start a three-game roadtrip in Reno to take on Nevada on Saturday, Feb. 12. The 'Bows then head to New Mexico State for a game on Feb. 15 and conclude their trip at Louisiana Tech on Feb. 17.
The 'Bows are looking to avenge their 62-75 loss to Nevada in Honolulu last week on Jan. 31. Hawai`i is also looking to snap a 17-game road losing streak on this roadtrip. The last time the 'Bows posted a “W” on the road was at Utah State on Jan. 30, 2009.
Freshman
Kamilah Jackson, is currently fourth in the NCAA DI in rebounding, with 12.2 boards a game. Jackson also leads Hawai`i with 12.2 points per game. The frosh forward has made a huge impact for the 'Bows this year, tallying nine double-doubles and, she has done the job both on the offensive and defensive glass, grabbing 118 offensive and 139 defensive boards. In conference games, she is averaging a staggering 12.7 rebounds per game along with 9.9 points per game.
Fellow freshman
Shawna-Lei Kuehu has steadily been moving up the team stats and has come on strong to currently lead UH in conference games with 106 points and 10.6 points per game. She also leads the 'Bows with 14 blocks and 22 steals and is second on the team with 5.0 rebounds and an .808 free-throw percentage. Overall, she is third on the team with 9.3 points per game and a team-high 35 steals. Kuehu is second on the team with 25 blocks, 60 assists and 5.0 rebounds per game.
Senior point guard
Keisha Kanekoa is having a solid season. She is second on the team with 11.3 points per game and leads UH with 80 assists, a .793 free-throw percentage, and 33 steals.
Megan Tinnin is fourth on the squad, averaging 8.7 points per game. She also leads UH with 38 3-pointers made and 33 steals. She has helped to crash the boards contributing 4.2 rebounds per game, while freshman
Shawna-Lei Kuehu has started all 22 games and is currently is averaging 9.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.6 assists in 28.2 minutes per game.

Opponent: Nevada is currently sixth in the WAC with a 15-7 overall and 4-5 in WAC play. The Wolf Pack are coming off a 66-47 win at San Jose State on Feb. 5.
Coaches: Hawai'i head coach Dana Takahara-Dias is in her second season at UH (18-35). Nevada head coach, Jane Albright has a 53-37 record at Nevada in three seasons and is 447-349 overall in 27 years as a head coach.
Series Information: Hawai`i holds a 22-14 lead over Nevada. Last week, the Wolf Pack defeated UH in Honolulu, 75-62. Last season, the Wolf Pack swept the 'Bows, getting the win in Honolulu (Jan. 16, 2010) 82-60 and in Reno (Feb. 15, 2010) 76-56.

Scouting Nevada: Head coach Jane Albright and the Nevada Wolf Pack come to Hawai`i with a 15-7 overall record and a 4-5 mark in conference action. Most recently, Nevada dominated at San Jose State 66-47.
Nevada continues to be led by Tahnee Robinson, with 20.8 points per game and 395 points per game. She is a 3-point machine, hitting 51-of-132 for a .386 average. Robinson also is averaging team-high 34.2 minutes per game and leads the squad with an .845 free-throw percentage. Shavon Moore is second on the team with 14.8 points per game and 311 points overall. Moore leads the team with 41 steals and 185 rebounds (8.8 rpg). Kayla Williams is third on the team with 9.2 points per game, but leads Nevada with 21 blocked shots, while Amanda Johnson has started all 19 games and has dished out a team-high and second in WAC with 90 assists.
