HONOLULU—The University of Hawai'i women's basketball team (6-15, 0-8 WAC) begins the second round of Western Athletic Conference competition as it continues its three-game homestand against the Boise State Broncos (11-10, 2-5 WAC) on Wednesday, Feb. 2 at 6:00 pm at the Stan Sheriff Center.
The 'Bows are looking to avenge their 63-69 loss in Boise, Idaho on Jan. 15 earlier this year. Hawai'i is trying to snap a nine game losing streak and notch a win in the WAC column after starting 0-8 in conference.
Boise State is in a two-way tie for seventh place in the WAC with a 2-5 conference record. The Broncos' only wins in conference came over UH and San Jose State. Last week, Boise State has dropped their last three games straight--at Idaho (48-68) and then two home games against New Mexico State (71-87) and undefeated conference leader, Louisiana Tech (56-93). The Broncos are led by junior guard Kati Isham with 15.0 points per game and a team-high 43 assists.
Hawai'i freshman
Kamilah Jackson, remains amongst the nation's elite in rebounding, with 12.6 boards a game. Jackson also leads Hawai`i with 12.6 points per game. The frosh forward has made a huge impact for the 'Bows this year, tallying nine double-doubles and she has done the job both on the offensive and defensive glass, grabbing 110 offensive and 129 defensive boards respectively. In conference games, she is averaging a staggering 13.7 rebounds per game along with 10.3 points per game.
Point guard
Keisha Kanekoa is having a solid senior season. She is second on the team with 11.3 points per game and leads UH with 70 assists, a .770 free-throw percentage, and 31 steals.
Megan Tinnin is fourth on the squad, averaging 8.8 points per game with a team-high 36 3-pointers made and 31 steals. She has helped to crash the boards contributing 4.2 rebounds per game, while freshman
Shawna-Lei Kuehu has started all 20 games and is currently is averaging 8.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists in 28.7 minutes per game.

Series Information: Hawai'i holds a 11-10 edge over Boise State. Most recently, the Broncos held off the 'Bows in Boise for a 69-63 win over UH. Last season the two teams split their two games. The 'Bows dropped their game in Boise, 64-73 (Jan. 23), but UH bounced back to defeat the Broncos in Honolulu, 66-64 (Feb. 24).
