Final Results
HONOLULU - Results from last weekend's Sunset Opener at the Clarence T.C. Ching Field. The competition was the first of 10 meets in the Sunset Series that the University of Hawai'i women's track and field team will host this season.
One school record was achieved as sophomore
Madara Apine broke the triple jump record with a leap of 39-7.25 (12.07m). Apine is a transfer from the University of Florida, where she competed for one year and helped the Gators to the Southeastern Conference championship.
Other Sunset Series meets include Mini Meet #1 (Jan. 30), Dr. Donnis Thompson Memorial Meet (Feb. 5-6), Mini Meet #2 (Feb. 13), Terry Albritton Memorial Meet (Feb. 19-20), Mini Meet #3 (March 20), Mini Meet #4 (March 27), Mini Meet #5 (April 10), Mini Meet #6 (April 17), and Sunset Finale (April 30-May 1).
