HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i Rainbow Warrior basketball team seeks its third straight win when it plays host to Chicago State on Saturday, Dec. 12. Tip-off is set for 7:05 p.m. at the Stan Sheriff Center.
UH is coming off 70-61 come-from-behind win over Chaminade on Wednesday night.
Roderick Flemings scored all 18 of his points in the second half, while
Hiram Thompson added a career-high 17 points and eight rebounds to help UH overcome a 13-point halftime deficit and defeat the Division II Silverswords. Flemings leads the team at 16.3 ppg, while Thomson is averaging 10.5 ppg, 4.9 rpg and a team-high 4.5 apg.
Chicago State, meanwhile, will make the long trek to Honolulu, following a Thursday night contest at Nebraska, which they lost, 74-39. The Cougars shot just 24 percent in the game to fall to 3-4 on the season.
Following its contest with Chicago State, UH will have a 10-day break until hosting the inaugural Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic, Dec. 22, 23 and 25. The 'Bows first opponent in the eight-team tournament will be the College of Charleston.
