Round 2 Results
LIHUE, Kaua'i – The University of Hawai'i men's golf team continue to sit in 12
th place after the second round of the Kauai Collegiate Invitational Tuesday at the Puakea Golf Course. UH improved seven strokes from Monday's first round and three of its five participants shot even-par or better.
San Diego took an overwhelming lead after posting a 267 second round and leads Drake by nine strokes heading into Wednesday's final round. San Jose State's Jay Myers is the individual leader after shooting an 8-under 64 and is at 10-under 134 for the tournament. San Diego's Jake Yount had the best round of the day with a 9-under 63 and is one stroke behind Myers.
As a team, the Warriors shot 4-over 288 and is at 15-over 583.
UH freshman sensation #T.J. Kua# shot a 2-under 70 and is currently in a tie for 16
th place at 3-under 141. Senior
Robert Berton shot his second consecutive even-par 72 and is tied for 26
th at 144. Freshman
Jared Sawada is at 1-over 145 after shooting even-par in the second round.

Cody Pewarchuk, competing as an individual, improved 11 strokes with a 6-under 66 and is tied for 21
st at 1-under 143. Also competing as an individual are senior

Daniel Soglanich (77-75)
The three-day, 14-team inaugural Kauai Collegiate Invitational is the first of two tournaments the Warriors will host in the coming weeks. The tournament concludes on Wednesday with Round 3 beginning at 7:30 a.m. at the Puakea Golf Course.
