Kate Robinson pitched a complete game shut out for a 1-0 win over DePaul (2-2). Robinson spaced four hits and struck out four and walked none in the final game of Day Two of the Oceanic Time Warner Cable Paradise Classic.
UH score the game's only run in the third inning. Tanisha Milca drew a two out walk, and then stole second to move into scoring position for junior catcher Kaulana Gould. Gould then hit a single to center to score Milca, who was already running on contact with two outs.
Becca Heteniak threw 4.0 innings and picked up the loss. She game up one run with three hits, walking one and striking out seven. Tracie Adix came in relief, throwing the final two innings. Adix struck out five of the six batters she faced.
With the win, UH became the No.1 seed in the bracket play of the tournament. Tomorrow's game schedule is as follows:
