LOS ANGELES - Junior first baseman Kate Robinson hit a solo home run in the top of the seventh to down Loyola Marymount, 1-0. Sophomore pitcher Justine Smethurst (4-2) threw a complete game shut-out over LMU spacing two hits, walking one, and striking out six. The Rainbow Wahine (13-2) will play finish their first roadtrip with the second game of today's double header.

The game was a pitcher's duel between Smethurst and LMU's Tiffany Pagano (3-4). Both pitcher's allowed only two hits in the game. Pagano baffled the Bows for much of the game, striking out 13 batters with three walks. Pagono tied her season high with 13 strike outs.

The two teams will face off again in approximately 20 minutes for the second game of the double header.
