RENO, Nev. - Two University of Hawai'i pole vaulters were in action in the season-opening National Pole Vault Summit, Saturday, at the Grand Sierra Resort. Sophomore
Jessica Trujillo and
Samantha Weaver were UH's only representatives at the annual national event.
Trujillo set a new UH personal best with a jump of 12-3 to finish in a tie for 11th in her collegiate division. Weaver did not height.
Next up for the Rainbow Wahine indoor track and field team is the Washington Invitational, January 26-27, at Dempsey Indoor in Seattle, Wash. UH will send a full field of athletes.
