Box Score

HONOLULU -- The University of Hawai`i Rainbow baseball team (12-20, 4-2 Easter) beat the Lewis-Clark State Warriors (20-10, 2-4 Easter) 14-3 in the final game of the Ohana Hotels & Resorts Rainbow Easter Tournament Sunday at the Les Murakami Stadium. Freshman Ricky Bauer (1-3) picked up the win while Collin Perschon (3-2) got the loss for the Warriors.

The Rainbows got all the runs they needed in the second inning as they got eight runs off five hits to take a commanding 8-0 lead. From there Hawai`i continued to pour it on, adding three in the fifth and three in the seventh en route to the 14 inning game.

Leading the 'Bows tonight were the duo of Brent Cook and Gregg Omori. Cook ended the night with a 2-for-5 performance with three RBI and three runs scored. Omori also went 2-for-5 but had five RBI and two runs. Kevin Gilbride added a 2-for-3 performance with a run and an RBI. All nine starters scored for Hawai`i with six of the nine driving at least one run in.

That was more than enough run support for Ricky Bauer, who ended the night with an eight inning, two earned runs performance with three strikeouts and no walks.
