Michele Wong is in her first years as assistant coach for the Rainbow Wahine Water Polo team.
Wong is a 2000 graduate of the UNiversity of Hawai`i, majoring in family resources.
The Roosevelt grad is making the transition from coaching the high school to the collegiate level.
Wong has spent the past three years coaching swimming and water polo. She spent both the 2001 and 2002 years at Kamehameha Schools coaching both swimming and water polo. in 2003, she coached swimming at Roosevelt High.
Wong prepped at Roosevelt High School where she earned four letters in swimming.
The former Rainbow Wahine garnered honorable mention All-America and second team all-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation honors in 1999.
Wong enjoys hanging with friends, watching TV, and going to the movies.
