Margie Dingeldein is in her first year serving as a volunteer assistant coach for the women's water polo program.
She has an extensive background in water polo. She graduated in 1998 from Merced high School participating in water polo and swimming.
The 25-year-old graduated from Stanford in 2002 with a degree in human biology. She was a member of the Cardinal women's water polo team particpating from 1999-2002.
The merced, Calif., native was also a member of the U.S. National Team from 2000-04, leading the squad to a bronze medal at the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece.
Dingeldein is currently at the UH John Burns School of Medicine conducting research in Reproductive Growth and Development. She is planning on attending medical school in fall 2006, but she has not decided which school she will be attending.
She enjoys surfing, movies, shopping, reading, and taking her dog for long walks at the beach.
