The 2004 season marks the inaugural campaign for assistant coach Jamie Koett.  As assistant coach, Koett's duties include assisting during practices, helping furing the day-to-day operations of the program, and various administrative duties.

"I have the highest respect for her," head coach Michel Roy said. "Her abilities as a player and her tactical skillsa re a great help to the team."

A native of San Diego, Calif., Koett's water polo career started at U San Diego High School, where she earned four letters in water polo as a two-meter hole set.  She took her skills to UC Davis, where she earned WWPA Most Valuable Player honors during the 1999 season.  In addition, she received All-America honors twice during her four-year collegiate career iwth the Aggies.  koett also made a name for herself nationally as a member of the U.S. Senior National "B" team.

Koett arrived in hawai`i in 2001 after graduating from UC Davis with a degree in Conservation Biology.  This past year she earned both her masters in physiology and epidemiology from UH. She will be attending medical school next year at Sydney University.  She enjoys canoe paddling and surfing, and likes to relax by reading.
