Chris Aguilera joins head coach Maureen Cole’s staff as an assistant coach for the first time during the 2017-18 school year.
Arguably considered to be the best goalie in men’s collegiate water during his senior year at Stanford (1998), Aguilera most recently was head coach of the 10th Grade and Under division for the USA Water Polo Olympics Development Program.
Playing four years for the Stanford Cardinal, Aguilera held the programs career saves record for 18 years before being surpassed in Fall 2017, notching 744 stops. He was a three-time All-American goaltender, receiving first-team honors following his senior season. During that season, his work in the cage aided Stanford to the NCAA National Championship Game. Aguilera was among a trio named Most Outstanding Players of the 1998 NCAA Tournament.
After graduation, he represented the United States on Team UPS in international competition, as well as the Olympic Club during the Division I Premier League Championships.
