Prep: A 2005 graduate of Cherry Creek High School in Greenwood Village, Colo...center midfielder played three seasons at Smoky Hills High School in Aurora, Colo., before transferring to Cherry CreekÂ…member of the Smokey Hills squad that advanced to the Class 5A state semifinals during her sophomore and junior seasonsÂ…led Cherry Creek to the league championship with a 5-0-2 markÂ…team finished 12-2-3 overall and advanced to the second round of the state playoffs...played club soccer for the Colorado Storm and most recently with the Colorado GirlsÂ’ Soccer AcademyÂ…helped lead Storm to State Cup semifinals three straight years and the Girl Soccer Academy to an appearance in the finals...an honor-roll student.

Personal: Born Oct. 16, 1986, in Mt. Vernon, NY...enrolled in College of Arts & Sciences...has one younger brother, one younger sister and one adopted brother...father played professionally in ColumbiaÂ’s first division, as well as for the former San Jose Clash and Colorado Rapids of the MLS...parents are Luz  Santana-Amaya and Rafael Amaya of Centennial, Colo.
