Biography

2006 (Junior): An all-conference performer for the second straight year...one of just five players to start all 21 matches for the Rainbow Wahine...played majority of the season on the left side of the defense, but also saw limited time at outside midfielder and up front...part of a UH defense that was nearly impenetrable during the first half of the season...allowed just three goals in the first nine matches and posted a 0.30 goals against average...didnÂ’t  allow a single first-half goal during that stretch...helped UH record eight shutouts on the year...second on  the team in minutes (1916), playing the full duration in every single match with the exception of two, both comfortable UH wins...posted three points, all on assists...assists came versus Detroit (Sept. 21), at San Diego (Oct. 1) and in home-finale vs. San Jose State (Oct. 22)...named second-team all-Western Athletic Conference, after earning preseason all-WAC honors...earned third straight all-WAC academic selection...also named to the OHANA Hotels No Ka ‘Oi all-tournament team.

2005 (Sophomore): One of only two players to start all 20 matchesÂ…moved to outside defender after playing freshman year as a forwardÂ…made a smooth transition, being one of three UH players to earn all-WAC first-team honorsÂ…helped Hawai‘i post six shutouts in eight regular-season conference matchesÂ…developed into an explosive outside defender, noted for her ability to attack up field and dribble through multiple defendersÂ…scored two goals off of 37 shotsÂ…named to the OHANA Hotels and Resorts No Ka ‘Oi  and Outrigger Hotels and Resorts Soccer Shootout all-tournament teams in back-to-back weeksÂ…teamed with Natasha Kai to score the schoolÂ’s quickest consecutive goals ever versus Eastern Michigan (Sept. 4) at 36 secondsÂ…named teamÂ’s most outstanding defender as well as most inspirational player...an academic all-WAC selection for second straight year.

2004 (Freshman): Enjoyed spectacular first season for UH at forward...one of just five players to start all 21 matches...finished second on the team in scoring with 12 points...registered four goals ..tallied first collegiate goal in 3-1 win over Portland State (Sept. 19)...also scored in wins over Gonzaga (Sept. 26) and Nevada (Oct. 15)... tallied UHÂ’s final goal of the 2004 season in a 1-1 double-overtime tie against Tulsa (Nov. 4)...also posted four assists on the year...three of her assists were game-winners, including a feed to Natasha Kai that gave Hawai‘i a 2-1 overtime win at Loyola Marymount (Sept. 5) ...took 26 shots, with 17 on goal...an OHANA Hotels & Resorts No Ka ‘Oi  all-tournament selection...named academic all-WAC.

2003: Redshirted.

Prep:  A 2003 graduate of Baldwin High School in Wailuku, MauiÂ…four-time first-team all-state playerÂ…also named to the league first team and state championship tournament team four timesÂ…earned league MVP honors as a seniorÂ…won state titles in 2000 and Â’01Â…team went 56-3-1 during her four years.

Personal: Born Oct. 16, 1985, in Wailuku, Maui...majoring in family resources...has one younger sister...parents are Evelyn and Neil Takeyama of Wailuku, Maui.
