2004 (Junior): Reserve defender appeared in one match....saw minutes in second half of UH's 3-1 win over Portland State (Sept. 19).

2003 (Sophomore): Appeared in three matches, all UH wins...made first appearance of the season vs. Bowling Green State (Aug. 31)...also saw time against Utah Valley State (Sept. 13) and Morehead State (Sept. 14)...a UH scholar-athlete.

2002 (Freshman): Appeared in three games, making first collegiate appearance against Wyoming (Sept. 1)...saw time against Long Island (Sept. 19) and Weber State (Sept. 29)...took only shot against Long Island (Sept. 19) ...a UH scholar-athlete.

Prep: A 2001 graduate of Hawai`i Preparatory Academy in Kamuela, Hawai`i...earned four letters in soccer...a four-time all-conference and two-time all-state performer...named the Big Island Interscholastic Federation Player of the Year for soccer her senior season...also named second team all-state and team MVP...led team to BIIF championship and third-place finish in the state tournament...also named first team all-BIIF her sophomore and junior seasons...honorable mention all-state and team MVP her junior year...helped team to three BIIF championships...also earned four letters in basketball and one in track...a member of Students Against Drunk Driving.

Personal: Born March 26, 1983, in Salem, Ore...a psychology major...nicknames are "Jiz" and "Jizzy"...has a younger brother and younger sister...parents are Marcelina and John Yates of Kailua-Kona, Hawai`i.
