Teneshia Ruff was named the Women's Basketball Director of Operations on September 1, 2015. Ruff is responsible for coordinating and organizing the team’s travel logistics, managing the team's budget, assisting with team’s fundraising and community service activities, and serving as the booster club liaison.
Prior to joining the University of Hawai‘i Women's Basketball staff, Ruff served as the Director of Events and Operations for the Northeast Conference (NEC). The NEC is an NCAA Division I collegiate athletic association consisting of 10 institutions of higher learning located throughout six states. At the NEC, Ruff was responsible for planning and coordinating NEC administrative meetings and events, and assisting with operations and onsite management of NEC championships. Additionally, Ruff provided oversight to the Conference awards program, and served as the liaison to the NEC Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
Ruff spent the 2012-13 season serving as the Convention/Events Logistics intern at the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA). During her time with the WBCA, Ruff was key in assisting with the overall planning and on-site coordination of the 2013 WBCA Convention. Prior to the WBCA, Ruff served as the Women's Basketball Director of Operations at Jacksonville University (JU) from 2010 to 2012. Within her role at JU, Ruff was responsible for arranging the team’s travel arrangements, organizing the team’s community service projects, and supervising team managers and volunteers.
Ruff graduated from Jacksonville University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Administration. She completed her Masters of Education, Leadership and Learning with an emphasis in Sport Management from JU in May 2012.
Ruff is from Columbus, GA. Ruff has two older brothers, and parents are Randy and Gwen Ruff.
