Scott Young serves as the Video Coordinator for the University of Hawai‘i Women's Basketball team. The Maryknoll High School graduate comes to UH after spending the previous few years teaching History in Tokyo, Japan at the St. Mary’s International School where he also helped coached the boy’s basketball team. Prior to that he taught History at Maryknoll High School and Damien Memorial School, and also coached their boys basketball teams as well.
Young attained his bachelor’s degree in Political Science in 2000 from the University Of Hawaii at Manoa. He then earned his Master of Arts in Teaching degree in Social Studies from Indiana University in 2002.
Young is married to Saori Young and the couple resides in Honolulu. He enjoys traveling and studying Japanese.
