Dallas Bolla enters her first season as an assistant coach with the Rainbow Wahine. Bolla was hired prior to the 2008-09 season and is the recruiting coordinator, along with scouting and day-to-day operations of the team.
With over 14 years of Division I coaching experience, Bolla brings an extended amount of knowledge to UH. Bolla was head coach at Long Beach State University from 1998-2003, where she compiled a record of 106-97. She took the 49ers to the WNIT and played in three Big West Conference championship games.
Prior to Long Beach State, Bolla was an assistant coach with Purdue University, where she was the recruiting coordinator and helped assist the team to two Big Ten championships. The Boilermakers made a trip to the Final Four in 1994 and the Elite Eight in 1995.
Bolla also spent time as an assistant coach at the University of Louisville, from 1990-92, where the Cardinals won two Metro Conference championships and went to the WNIT.
Bolla began her collegiate coaching career at her alma mater, Stetson University. Bolla was an assistant coach during the 1989-90 season. Bolla also has coaching experience at the high school and professional level, coaching the Sheffield Hatters, a player/coach for a semi-professional in Sheffield, England.
Collegiately, Bolla was a standout for Stetson University, playing from 1982-86, and still holds several records. She went on to play professionally before beginning her coaching career.
Bolla, formerly Boychuk, has been married to head coach Jim Bolla for eight years and they have a 7-year-old daughter, Sasha.
Bolla received her bachelor’s degree in marketing from Stetson University in 1986.
