Calamity McEntire

Calamity McEntire joined coach Laura Beeman’s staff as Assistant to the Head Coach prior to the 2016-17 season. McEntire serves as the team’s recruiting coordinator, manages Hawai‘i’s scheduling and contributes to on-court coaching, scouting, and more.
 
She comes to Hawai‘i from the University of Arizona where she was an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the Wildcats from 2012-16. In 2014 McEntire helped assemble a top-25 recruiting class for Arizona, the highest rated class in program history. She also coached the team’s guards, including the Davellyn Whyte, who became the 16th pick in the 2013 WNBA Draft.
 
Prior to her time at Arizona, McEntire served as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Boise State University from 2008-12, director of women’s basketball operations at UC Santa Barbara from 2006-08, assistant coach at Fresno State from 2004-06, and manager at Tennessee from 2001-03. McEntire played two seasons at Eastern Oklahoma State from 1999-2001 before earning her Bachelor’s degree from Tennessee in sport management in 2003.
