2002: Talented and powerful outside hitter quickly emerged as a force for the Warriors...tabbed a Freshman All-American by <i>Volleyball</i> magazine...former member of the Puerto Rican Junior Team finished his rookie campaign third on the squad in kills (215), kills per game (2.72) and blocks per game (0.91)...recorded five, double-digit kill performances...had a season-high 19 kills in a win at No. 6 UC Santa Barbara (March 12)...contributed 13 kills in Hawai`i's upset of No. 2 Stanford (Jan. 29)...recorded 12 kills and eight blocks versus No. 2 UCLA (Jan. 19).
