2002 (JUNIOR): Team captain's steady, solid all-around play was invaluable to the national champions...led Hawai`i to its first NCAA title last season, averaging 2.65 kills and 1.68 digs per game to earn All-MPSF honorable mention honors...named AVCA National Player of the Week after leading Hawai`i to an MPSF Tournament first round win over No. 12 Long Beach State...had a strong performance in Hawai`i's NCAA Final, putting-down 13 kills while also recording 13 digs to post his team-high fourth double-double showing of the season...also posted double-doubles against Loyola-Chicago (14 k, 10 d on Jan. 8), Lewis (11 k, 10 d on Jan. 18), and UC Santa Barbara (11 k, 10 d on Apr. 25).

2001 (SOPHOMORE):  Voted to All-MPSF third team at outside hitter...played in 97 games, posting a .310 hitting percentage on 219 kills in 435 attempts...averaged 2.26 kills per game...led team with 46 service aces...second on the club in digs (184)...had 76 total blocks (5 solo, 71 block assists)...posted 11 double-digit kills performances...had a personal-best 15 kills against UC Santa Barbara (Feb. 2) and BYU (April 26)...had a personal-high seven service aces versus UC San Diego (Feb. 13)...had six double-digit dig contests...had season-high 18 digs versus UCLA (March 29).

2000 (FRESHMAN): Played in 27 matches, started 24, once at libero and the rest at outside hitter...recorded a career-high 17 kills twice, against Stanford (March 24) and at San Diego State (March 29)...pounded 15 kills and hit .700 at UC Santa Barbara (Feb. 11)...served a career-high three aces against Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne (Jan. 26) and amassed a career-high 13 digs against Long Beach State (Feb. 16)...finished 10 matches in double-figure kills and had one double-double (13 kills and 11 digs) against UC Irvine (Feb. 4).

 PREP: A 1995 graduate of Naaman High School in Kibbutz Ein Hamifratz, Israel...lettered in soccer, basketball and high-jumping...was a four-time high school player-of-the-year...led team to four consecutive Israeli high school titles...in 1994, led team to fifth place finish in High School World Championships.

PERSONAL: Born Sept. 1, 1976, in Kibbutz Ein Hamifratz, Israel...career goal is to win a golf tournament...plans a career in politics upon graduation...favorites include the Israeli food phalaphel, the movie "Watership Down" and actor Tim Robbins...recommended to attend UH by former Warriors Yuval Katz and Naveh Milo... has two sisters...parents are Lauri and Shmuel Zimet of Kibbutz Ein Hamifratz, Israel.
