Former Warrior Mauli‘a La Barre begins his first season as a volunteer assistant on the Warrior coaching staff.
La Barre lettered for the Warriors in 2001 before going on a mission and returning for the 2004-06 seasons. He finished his career ranked seventh all-time in school history with a 1.28 blocks-per-set average. He was a third-team all-MPSF selection as a junior and honorable mention pick in 2006.
The Roosevelt High School graduate earned his bachelor’s degree from UH in 2006 and is currently working as a police officer for the Honolulu Police Department.
