2000-01 (Junior): Competed in six tournaments...tied his career low round with a 71 at Cougar Classic...best finish was a tie for 21st at the UH Fall Classic...season stroke average was 77.83.

1999-00 (Sophomore): Played in six tournaments...had his career best finish at Cougar Classic where he tied for 13th...finished the season with 76.82 stroke average.

1998-99 (Freshman): Played in six tournaments...best finish was tied for 18th in Stan Sheriff Classic...finished season with stroke average of 78.57

Prep: A 1998 graduate of Hawai'i Baptist Academy in Honolulu...played on ILH championship team...in 1997, was individual state high school and junior golf champion.

Personal: Biggest athletic thrill was winning high school state championship...enjoys all Hawaiian music groups...says best part of golf is the competition...if he could change one thing in the past would have studied harder in school...has one brother and one sister ...parents are Susan and Norman Asao of Pearl City
