2001-02 (Junior): Competed in eight tournaments...best finish was a tie for 17th at the Western Athletic Conference Championships...low round was a 69 on the first day of the BYU Cougar Classic...finished the season with a 77.13 stroke average.

2000-01 (Sophomore): Shot career low round of 65 in the final round of the Taylor Made/Waikoloa Invitational...finished in the Top-20 in three of nine tournaments...best finish was a tie for 10th at the UH Fall Classic...finished the season with a 75.65 stroke average.

1999-2000 (Freshman): Competed in all 12 tournaments... selected to the all-WAC first team...named WAC men's golfer of the month for November...best finish was a tie for second at the Stan Sheriff Classic...finished the season with a 74.00 stroke average.

Prep: A 1999 graduate of Kauai High School...earned four letters in golf...was medalist at the State Championship as a senior, runner-up as a sophomore and junior...member of KIF Championship team for four years.

Personal: Born Sept. 11, 1981, in Lihue, Kauai...enjoys watching TV...would like to meet Michael Jordan...favorite color is blue...biggest athletic thrill was winning the state championship...has one brother and one sister...son of Joy and Mel Matsumura of Lihue, Kauai.
