Brad Vonnahme begins his first season as a graduate assistant with the Rainbow Warrior football program in 2014.
The Omaha, Neb., native comes to UH after spending one year as linebackers coach and special teams coordinator at Midland University in Fremont, Neb. He also assisted with the strength and conditioning program. Prior to that, he was a graduate assistant at Wayne State College in Wayne, Neb., from 2011-12.
It was during his two-year stint as defensive administrative assistant at Utah State from 2009-10, where Vonnahme met and worked with current UH defensive coordinator Kevin Clune. Among his duties included film breakdown, preparing scouting reports, and running the scout teams.
From 2006-08, Vonnahme served as a student manager at the University Nebraska before transferring to USU, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies in 2011. He also earned a master’s degree in sport management from Wayne State in 2013.
He and his wife Ashley reside in Honolulu.
