A two-year starter and two-time All-Big West selection for the Rainbow Warriors, Maaki Yamazaki returned to the Hawai‘i baseball program during the fall of 2023 as a graduate manager.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS 
  • A two-time All-Big West selection.
  • Still the only UH player to earn first-team All-Big West honors in back-to-back seasons since the Rainbow Warriors joined the conference.
  • Hit .316 over 98 career games (96 starts), racking up 118 hits and scoring 61 runs.
  • Also posted a career .395 on-base percentage while striking out just 27 times in 430 career plate appearances.
  • Batted .308 as a senior with a pair of home runs and 25 RBIs.
  • Led the team and finished seventh in the Big West with a .325 batting average while adding 10 doubles, 34 runs scored, two homers and 19 RBIs.
  • A native of Tokyo, Japan.
  • Started collegiate career at Tokyo International University.
