Dallas Correa

Dallas Correa enters his third season on the University of Hawai‘i baseball staff and first as an assistant coach in 2024 after joining head coach Rich Hill's inaugural staff in the summer of 2021. Correa served as director of player personnel for two seasons from 2022-23 and arrived at UH from neighboring Hawai‘i Pacific where he spent three seasons as the skipper of the Sharks.

COACHING HIGHLIGHTS (at UH)
  • Helped oversee day-to-day operations for the baseball program for two seasons from 2022-23 as the director of player development. 
  • A part of a staff that led UH to back-to-back winning seasons in Big West play in 2022 and 2023 - the first two for the program since joining the conference in 2013.
  • The Rainbow Warriors turned in their best-ever finish in The Big West in his first year in staff in 2022, coming in third with a 19-11 conference record.
  • UH ended the season on a nine-game home winning streak in 2023, coming in fifth in The Big West at 18-12 in league play and 29-20 overall.
PRIOR TO UH
  • His Sharks turned the most double plays per game in the PacWest Conference in 2021 (0.73), which ranked 40th in the D-II ranks and had the Sharks swiping bases at a high clip with the second-most stolen bags per game (1.58) in the conference and 60th in the country. 
  • While at Hawaii Pacific, Correa has had the privilege of coaching three HPU players to professional baseball: Rico Garcia (30th Round, Rockies), Brandon Bonilla (13th Round, Orioles), and Matthew Gunter (33rd Round, Blue Jays).
  • Oversaw multiple All-PacWest and All-West region Academic honors and has been instrumental in creating the Sharks Baseball Corporate sponsorship program, Sharks Prospect/Youth Camps and Showcases, and First Pitch Dinner raising over $100,000 in his first two years at the helm.
